Whitetail Baptist Church is located in Heart Butte, Montana, in the southwestern corner of the Blackfeet Indian Reservation. The community is nestled in scenic rolling hill prairies on the eastern Front of the Rocky Mountains.
Pastor Larrie Bunyan, his wife Carol, and their children, moved to this area in the summer of 1985 and began conducting Bible Studies and church services in Heart Butte in September of that year. Services were held in community buildings for a number of years. Land was purchased in 1992. The construction of our own church building began in 1995. We began meeting in our new building in June of 1996.
Today Whitetail Baptist Church meets at 10 AM on Sunday for an adult Bible study, followed at 11 AM by a church service in which we sing, pray, and listen to the preaching of the Word of God. Our emphasis is on the teaching of the Bible. Children’s Bible classes are also taught during the 11 AM service.
During the winter months (October – March) we operate a Wednesday night ministry for children called AWANA.
